Well as MotoGP draws to a close for one hell of a 2020 season some late braking wobbles have gone down:

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

Marc Marquez will not race until next season. He will start 2021 with new teammate Pol Espargaró (who is switching from Factory KTM). Brother Alex Marquez will switch from Factory Honda to LCR Honda and join renewed Takaaki Nakagami.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

No Andrea Dovizioso for 2021. Opting to take some time off after a rather tumultuous season and departure with Ducati, he wants to return for 2022.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

Andrea Iannone is banned for 4 years. Failing to satisfy The Court of Arbitration for Sport for presence of Drostanolone by allegedly consuming beef containing it in Malaysia. He has been axed from competition for 4 years; retroactive from December 17, 2019.

Iannone should’ve taken his original 18-month suspension, said thank you, and backed away slowly. Oh well, I can understand him wanting to ‘stand his ground’ or what not. But dang, 4 years....that’s basically forced retirement for him.

Also, I wish Dovi well on his Italian MotoX Championship endeavor next year.  Hope it is as fulfilling as he desires it to be.

It’s really been a wacky year.

If you told me at the beginning of the year that Joan Mir was going to be leading the MotoGP championship towards the end of the season, my reply would’ve been, “...who?”

He’s had consistent results relative to the rest of the field, and it really shows how remarkably consistent Marc is to be always at the front, fighting for wins.

The fact that there’s now 2 Suzuki basically leading the way because of Fabio’s crash is just ridiculous. They were the first to throw that new Öhlins rear shock in and once they got a couple weekends with it and dialed in they’ve been that step ahead.

It’s done the same for Honda of late too. I was keeping a close eye on Taka in 4th and while those 3 walked away for better part of 20 laps and had Oliveira right behind him. At the end he dropped Olivera like he was on a Moto2 (+6s) and was closing up to those 3 something fierce. He gets better with Race 2, so this will be very interesting.

Even though it’s supposed to be a dry weekend at Valencia, I doubt Fabio can recover from both Suzukis. He gets in the weeds if anything other than a Yamaha passes him, and he’s shit in the damp or rain. Going into Aragon I had a feeling he was going to have 2 bad races and Suzuki would do well.
